Varsity Assistant Softball Coach

Dates needed: 2022-23 School Year

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma Required.
Successful high school and/or college playing experience.
Experience coaching Girls’ Volleyball at a high school level. (Preferred)
Instructs and demonstrates skill sets and techniques necessary for individual and team achievement.
Prepares practice plans in advance for all scheduled practices.
Works with Head Coach in preparing practice plans and implementing program at Junior Varsity level. 
Knowledge of MHSAA rules for Volleyball.
Supervise students in locker rooms at home and away games and ensures appropriate behavior. 
Supervises students on bus when provided.
Will attend coaches training (CAP).
Will attend Protecting God’s Children Program. (Required)
Have valid CPR Certification
Attend MHSAA Rules/Safety Meeting (On-line)
Demonstrate ability to work and communicate effectively with athletes, parents and school staff.
Ability to be in attendance at all practices, competitions, meetings and team functions.
Other qualifications as deemed necessary by Athletic Department.

This position is responsible for coaching and providing direction to student-athletes so that they may a high level of skill as well as an appreciation for discipline, sportsmanship, teamwork and high academic achievement.

Hours: Must be available after school and some weekends from August thru November (end of season.
