Position Description:

 

Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School is a private college preparatory co-educational high school. Our goal is to provide a faith-filled, highly engaging, well-rounded academic experience that allows our students to become critical thinkers and tomorrow’s leaders.Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School seeks an educator to teach 9-12 grade Spanish. Courses to be taught include Spanish 1, 2, Honors 3 and Honors 4. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree and a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a certification in Spanish (FF). An ideal candidate would possess strong communication and teaching skills and a willingness to take on extracurricular roles and responsibilities. This is a shared time position.

 

Qualification/Requirements:

  • Evaluate and differentiate student progress and aid in adapting individual programs to meet student needs.
  • Comply with applicable district, state, local and federal laws, rules and regulations.
  • Adhere to all standards established by the Archdiocese of Detroit and the State of Michigan.
  • Maintain appropriate licenses and training hours as required.
  • Must complete the Protecting God’s Children workshop and state requirements for fingerprinting.

FOOD SERVICE COORDINATOR

Position Description:

Holy Cross Catholic School and Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School are seeking a Food Service Coordinator. The Food Service Coordinator cooks, prepares, presents, and serves food items.  They also ensure that food is prepared in a manner which is nutritious, safe, properly flavored, and in compliance with District, USDA, and accrediting agency standards for quality.

Holy Cross Catholic School and Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School are located in beautiful downtown Marine City on a shared campus. Our schools are home to about 300 students combined in preschool through twelfth grade. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Using recipes: cooks and prepares various entrees, vegetables, sandwiches, and other menu items.
  • Reporting all employee timesheets to the principal
  • Communicates and coordinates daily with the AOD School Food Program office on strategies to accomplish production and maintain quality standards.
  • Maintains accurate daily production records.
  • May operate a cash register/point of sale device during serving periods as needed.
  • Collects, records, and reports quantities used, amounts produced, amounts left over and meal counts accurately in compliance with AOD School Food Program and government regulations.
  • Offers and serves correct portions to comply with District and National School Breakfast and Lunch Program standards.
  • Cleans and restocks the work area throughout the day.  Maintains standards for sanitation and cleanliness by following standards for “clean as you go” and scheduled routine cleaning. Cleaning duties may include, but are not limited to:  equipment, utensils, serving area, dining area, floors, walls, baseboards, and storage areas.
  • Assists in proper labeling, dating, and rotation of product in dry storage, coolers and freezers
  • Assist in ordering of all food products by working with the AOD School Food Program office
  • Assists in maintaining organized storage of dry goods, refrigerated and frozen products.
  • Maintains accurate counting of food and supplies for inventories.
  • Assists in the cooking, preparation, and service of food for special events when required.
  • Attends training and development classes and work site meetings as required by the AOD School Food Program Director
  • Assists in the cross training of employees as required by the Food Service Director, Assistant Director of dining services or school principal.
  • Follows safety and sanitation guidelines established by the District and government agencies.
  • Wears the prescribed uniform. Maintains a professional appearance at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment; ability to perform job safely.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

FOOD SERVICE ASSISTANT

Position Description:

Holy Cross Catholic School and Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School are seeking a Food Service Assistant. The Food Service Assistant performs cooking duties under the direction of the supervisor. They provide nutritional and attractive meals and ala carte selections to schools as specified.

Holy Cross Catholic School and Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School are located in beautiful downtown Marine City on a shared campus. Our schools are home to about 300 students combined in preschool through twelfth grade. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of high quality food items according to standardized recipes or instructions in a fast, efficient manner in order to meet production, delivery and service schedules, including USDA Meals Per Labor Hour standards.
  • Serve meals or prepare for delivery at times, using correct portioning, meeting USDA minimum standards and ensuring that food is at the correct temperatures and is attractive and tasty.  Store leftovers following safe food handling procedures.
  • Use established cash and ticket collection procedures during service.  Responsible for cash and records from the area worked during service periods.
  • Operate the Point-of-Sale System (Meal Magic)
  • Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and storing excess food properly.
  • Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat.  All food and supply items are to be stored properly.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
  • Assist in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
  • Order supplies and food needed for the area of responsibility.  Assist in ordering and receiving all food and supplies.
  • Follow correct procedures for safety and sanitation at all times.
  • Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the Food Service Director immediately.
  • Attend in-service and/or safety meetings as required.
  • Work effectively and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, school personnel, administrators, students, parents and Food Service Director.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment; ability to perform job safely.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
